親子で楽しむ楽器屋さん巡り
むすめと一緒に楽器屋さんへ行くのが、わたしのささやかな楽しみです。銀座のYAMAHA、そして御茶ノ水の楽器街へ、気が向いたときにふらりと出かけます。
先日もそんな風に立ち寄ったお店で、目を引いたのが「カリンバ」。
親指ピアノとも呼ばれるこの楽器、木の箱に並んだ金属のキーを親指で弾くだけで、柔らかく心にしみるような音が響きます。
そのときは迷って購入を見送りましたが、家に帰ってからネットで「猫のデザイン」のカリンバを見つけて、心がぐっと惹かれました。シンプルな音色に、猫のイラスト。なんとも言えない癒しがそこにありました。
これは、買う。ぽちぽち。

動画を見ながら練習していますが、１音が左右にわかれているので、長年ピアノを弾いてきた私にはこれがとてもムズい・・・！😭😭

One of my quiet joys is visiting musical instrument shops with my daughter. From the elegant Yamaha store in Ginza to the vibrant music street in Ochanomizu, we occasionally enjoy a stroll through these inspiring places.
During a recent visit, we came across something intriguing—a kalimba. Sometimes called a “thumb piano,” the kalimba produces a warm, gentle sound by simply plucking its metal tines with your thumbs. Its simplicity was charming, yet I hesitated and left the shop without buying it.
Later at home, I browsed online and discovered a cat-themed kalimba. Its adorable design and soothing tone immediately captured my heart. There’s something deeply calming about a soft melody paired with a cute feline illustration.
